What is Permanent Jewelry?
Permanent Jewelry is a unique way to wear your jewelry without a clasp. However, we also offer a clasp, which some people prefer. These chains are custom fitted and micro welded for a seamless look. Although most people choose to get a bracelet, or multiple bracelets, anklets are popular as well. We also offer rings, hand chains, necklaces and belly chains.
Though these pieces are made to last forever, they can be removed with a pair of household scissors, wire-cutters or fingernail clippers. If you want to remove a bracelet, it’s best to cut the little ring which was welded to connect the chain. You can always bring the chain back to us and we can put it back on you for no charge.
What Type of Chains Do You Offer?
We offer sterling silver, 14K gold filled and 14K solid gold chains. They range in thickness from dainty to chunky. The photos at the bottom of this page show some of the styles that we offer.
What is 14K Gold Filled?
Gold filled is made in two layers: 14K gold and jeweler’s brass. Because the gold is mechanically bonded onto the base metal, the gold doesn’t rub off.
14K gold filled is tarnish resistant and perfect for everyday wear. You can go to the gym, shower, and sleep in it. It’s also hypoallergenic, so it’s great for people who have sensitive skin.
How Much Does It Cost?
Our permanent jewelry bracelets range in price from $35-$75, depending on the style, for either 14K gold filled or sterling silver. 14K solid gold bracelets start at about $100.
Will it Hurt?
Not at all! It’s a simple zap of light. You won’t feel a thing.
Can the Chain Break?
We choose delicate chains for their minimalist appearance and ease for everyday wear. Though they are considered permanent in that you cannot take them off (unless you choose to have a clasp), they are still delicate pieces of jewelry.
Is There a Warranty?
Yes, for the life of your Permanent Jewelry piece we offer complimentary re-welding and repair service. Should your bracelet get caught on something and break or stretch we will do our best to repair it for you. Put it in a safe place and visit us at one of our upcoming events. Important notes: Sometimes we are unable to repair a chain. Xico Station is not liable for lost chains or charms.
What if I Need to Remove the Bracelet?
If you need to remove your bracelet for any reason, simply cut it off with nail clippers. To remove, cut the small ring that holds the chain together. Please come to an upcoming event or contact us to have it welded on again or to add a clasp.
